Scent and Sex | Exploring the Connection

Scent and Sex | Exploring the Connection

February 22, 2023

It’s no surprise we love a deliciously indulgent scent. But what do these intoxicating flavors actually do for us? And why do some turn us on more than others?

If you don’t know exactly what you do or don’t like, don’t worry, your mind and nose already do. While we may have our go-to perfume or cologne preferences, it’s certain food smells that really bring out the best in us.

A scientific study from 2016 showed that some “food odors elicit the greatest sexual response” for both men and women. There could be a couple reasons for this - such as these smells taking an individual back to a happy place or time and therefore eliciting positive feelings.

The same study found that men are more intrigued when exposed to the smell of chocolate and cinnamon than perfumes.

Original

Don’t have the time to whip up a batch of brownies or cinnamon rolls? Our Original flavor is an enticing blend of chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon that can make anyone smell like dessert with the cooking hassle.

While some may have a love for sweet smells, fruity is also a fan favorite. These edible odors are luscious and arousing, according to an article in Women's Health.

Aside from their heart-like shape and juicy texture, Strawberries are known for their sweet taste and smell which has made them a common mention on an aphrodisiac menu.

With sentimental value, strawberries are a familiar look, smell, and taste which is why the availability of Strawberry flavor or scented items are practically endless.

As one of our personal favorite scents, the Kama Sutra Strawberry Collection gives the perfect taste of this delicious fruit.

So before you head into the bedroom for the night -- think about making a quick stop in the kitchen first. (Or, just pull our your favorite Oil of Love from the bedside table instead).
